Hey good people! Ralph here. It’s been a little while since my last post. I’ve been pretty busy training clients, promoting my Perennial Boxing + Fitness business, studying for some certifications and working on some branding stuff. I find it equally challenging and exciting to be an entrepreneur because everything falls on you. I’m no stranger to hard work and I’ve always believed that if I set my mind on something, I can accomplished anything. That’s the part that keeps me inspired and persistent. So without further due, I’m happy to be able to finally share some exciting news with you all.Continue reading “Perennial Boxing + Fitness Owner Ralph A. Gilmore Photo Shoot with Kolor Magazine”

Nipsey Hussle: A rapper, entrepreneur, community activist, father, and a source of inspiration.
Hey good people. Ralph here. After completing my workday at my freelance gig, I hopped on the A-train to travel up to Harlem. I stuck my headphones in my ears and selected my own curated list of favorite hip hop tracks. I hit the shuffle button on my trusty iPhone XR and ironically, the first song that came on was Nipsey Hussle’s “The Weather (feat. Rick Ross & Cuzzy Capone),” from the 2013 Album, “Crenshaw.” As I sat there on the train, listening closely and intently to the lyrics of the song, my eyes began to water. Perhaps this photo is a tad morbid due to it’s visual nature, which is paired with my intention to assert the notion that our greatest ideas goes to our graves with us. In past years, I’ve been guilty of being an “idea hoarder;” what I mean by that is from time to time, I’ve conjured up numerous creative ideas–in which I failed to act upon due to a combination of procrastination, work schedules, relationships, fear of criticism and quite often for some of us, life tends to knocks us off our feet–at least momentarily. One day I just decided that I wasn’t going to keep my ideas on the shelf anymore and that I would do everything in power to share my creativity with the world.
The following is one of my favorite quotes made by motivational speaker and author, Les Brown. I constantly keep this quote in the back of mind to help keep me motivated, especially when my goals are not reached as quickly as expected:Continue reading “Untapped Creativity: Don’t Take Your Best Ideas To The Grave With You!”
